Want your tiles in the bathroom or kitchen to look like new?
Doing some renovating, and the colour scheme of your existing tiles doesn’t fit
in?
Don’t waste money buying new ones… paint the existing ones to look like new.
Faye demonstrated this amazing product called White Knight Tile Paint.
It comes in 19 different colours and all you have to do is paint over the
existing tiles.
Painting tiles is a three-step process consisting of clean, prime and paint.
Firstly, clean the tiles to remove any dirt grease and grim. This can be done
using White Knight Tile and Laminate Cleaner.
Once the surface is dry, apply an even coat of White Knight Tile and Laminate
Primer. The primer will ensure that the top coat will
stick to the tiles. Make sure that the primer is brushed firmly into the grout
areas.
Once the primer is dry, it’s time to apply the first coat of the new tile paint
colour. The tile paint goes on high gloss giving the impression of a ceramic
tile. Wait a couple of hours between coats to allow for drying and then paint on
a second coat of tile paint.
Once the second coat is dry use a grouting pen and apply between the tiles.
The results look fantastic and it’s a much cheaper option than re-tiling. All
the paint and accessories you’ll need can be found at Mitre 10 and all leading
hardware stores.
