Faye demonstrates fixing a mirror to a timber frame.
Firstly she needs to re-size the mirror with a glasscutter. Wearing her safety
goggles, Faye scores the mirror, then places the glasscutter underneath (where
the line is) and applies pressure for a clean cut.
To fix the mirror to the timber frame Faye uses Selleys Liquid Nails Mirror.
It’s specially formulated so that its non-corrosive to mirrors. Other adhesives
eat away at the backing of the mirror resulting in black discolouration on the
front of the mirror.
Once the Selleys Liquid Nails Mirror is applied you have about 5 minutes before
it starts to harden. Check that the mirror is centred before applying pressure.
While it’s setting, attach screw eyes for the hanging wire before affixing to
the wall.
