Fixing mirrors directly to walls can be a tricky job (especially on the
ceiling!). It can be done with double-sided tape or by making a timber frame for
the mirror, but Kevinís tip is to use Selleyís Liquid Nails Mirror, Metal &
Glass. Itís water resistant and non-corrosive, so it wonít damage the silver
backing on the mirror. Itís also heat- and steam-resistant so itís perfect for
Apply 6mm thick beads of adhesive about 8cm apart, staying away from edges.
Work quickly, because it skins in about 5 minutes. This adhesive has a very
strong vertical hold, so itís perfect for heavy mirrors. You may need to support
the weight of the mirror until the Liquid Nails cures.
Itís also great for gluing metal objects, such as bathroom accessories to
tiles or glass. Use plenty of glue, and support with tape until set. Too easy!
