Brick walls are tough, but they do suffer damage from the weather, or from
building movement. The mortar that binds the bricks is the softest part of the
wall, so it tends to suffer most. Repairs to mortar can be difficult, because
it’s hard to push new mortar into the gaps (this is called “pointing”),
difficult to get it to stick, and even more difficult to match colours.
Selleys No More Gaps Mortar Repairs has been developed for this purpose. It
comes in a variety of colours to match your existing mortar, is easy to apply,
and has a gritty finish to match the texture of real mortar.
It can be used on brick or concrete block walls, or on roof tile ridge caps.
It’s also sandable, paintable, moisture and fungus resistant and UV stable.
Step 1: Clean the area to be repaired with a brush to remove loose particles,
spider webs, etc.
Step 2: Squeeze the Mortar Repair into damaged mortar, pushing the filler as
deep into the gap as possible.
Step 3: Shape the repair with a blade or your finger, and clean up.

Kev’s Tip: Repair gaps and cracks as
soon as possible to prevent the damage from getting worse. If you have large,
running cracks in walls, they may be the symptom of a more serious problem.
