We all know the annoying sound slamming doors make. If you have kids it doesn’t matter how many times you say, “don’t slam the doors” either. So we know you’ll love these little “shock absorbers” for your doors.

Step 1: Locate the door silencer on the edge of the cabinet opposite the door hinges. Most kitchen and bathroom cabinets have doors that fit outside the cabinet. In this case simply locate the lip on the door silencer over the front edge. For cabinets that have doors that fit inside the cabinet, snap off the lip and measure in from the edge the thickness of the door.

Step 2: Screw the silencer to the cabinet.

Step 3: Enjoy the silence!

tip Kev’s Tip:
Use two silencers on large doors, and use them on slamming drawers too.

Howard Silvers Door Silencers are available at all good hardware stores.
