Selleys 5 Minute Araldite – Faye De Lanty

You’ve seen us use Araldite before to repair ornaments, make a glass coffee table and repair heavy cast iron. Each of these used a version of Araldite that was best suited to the task.

The 5-minute variety is perfect to have on hand for all those quick repairs that crop up around the home, like a knob that’s broken off a chest of drawers.

Simply mix the two parts in equal quantities (and you can’t get this wrong with the syringe dispenser), spread it on the broken knob, and push it back in place.

You can hold it until the glue starts to set, or use masking tape to hold it for you. It will also keep people away until the glue fully cures.

Faye put some Araldite to good use by repairing a VCR fascia that the kids had broken off.

tip Faye’s Tip:
Keep Selleys 5 Minute Araldite in the toolbox so it’s always on hand when you need it.

Selleys products are available at all good hardware stores.
