Kevin came up with a great idea on how to cut large curves in timber using a router. By mounting an arm to your router you can make circular cuts much easier than with a jigsaw or any other method.

Step 1: Measure the width of the router and mark out an arm at the same width and to the required length. Remember the longer the arm, the larger the curve.

Step 2: Cut out the arm. Using the screw holes, screw the arm into the base plate of the router.

Step 3: Measure and mark out plot points on the arm. You will use this for different sized curves.

Step 4: Once you have decided how big you want the curve, screw the arm to timber.

Step 5: Cut out the curve.

The Ryobi Professional Series Router is available at all leading hardware stores.
