One of the most common problems in homes is gaps – we know because our audience
has been asking how to deal with them. So here are a few solutions:
Problem 1: Gaps in kitchens, between benchtops and splashbacks. This area
needs a high moisture resistant sealant with mould inhibiters. It’s usually
impossible to paint sealants to match colours.
Problem 2: Gaps in bathrooms between vanity and tiles. This area has similar
requirements to Problem 1.
Problem 3: Gaps between skirting and walls. This area needs a flexible
sealant that can be painted if necessary.
Problem 4: Gaps between skirting and floors. This also needs to be flexible,
but is difficult to paint.
Solution: Coloured Caulk. This is a No More Gaps acrylic sealant that comes
in 12 different colours, and makes gap sealing easy.
It’s suitable for indoor or exterior use, and is great for any gap where you
can’t (or would just rather not) paint the sealant. It can be used on nearly any
building material. It’s tough and flexible, mould-resistant, moisture resistant,
water clean up, paintable if you wish, and coloured!
If you want straight lines, use masking tape – but you must remove it before the
