Selleys Knead It – Lochie Daddo

That’s where Selleys Knead It comes in. It’s a hand-knead able epoxy repair system. It can be used to restore, repair and rebuild practically anything, such as timber, masonry, ceramics, metal, toys, gutters and downpipes, even chipped bricks.

Step 1: Clean up the repair area with turps, a wire brush or sandpaper, and then cut off enough Knead It to do the job. Seal the remainder back in its tube for another day.

Step 2: Mix the Knead It with your fingers until it forms a uniform colour. It will also start to heat up.

Step 3: Push the epoxy into the surface to be repaired, leaving no air bubbles, and then form it into shape. Smooth the surface with a little water if you like.

Step 4: In about an hour it will be hard enough to saw, drill, file and paint.

There are three types of Knead It:

  • Multipurpose for practically everything.
  • Aqua for stopping leaks and keeping boats afloat in emergencies.
  • Metal for repairing steel, iron, aluminium and other metals. You can even repair damaged threads and bolts.
tip Faye’s Tip:
Keep Knead it in your toolbox – you never know when you’ll need it! Wear gloves if you have sensitive skin, otherwise wash your hands with soapy water as soon as you’ve finished.

Knead It and all other Selleys products are available at all good hardware stores.
